Perry Uniform feature at the

Yorkshire & Humber Skills exhibition

Perry uniform are situated in the heart of Armley, in Leeds. The area is host to one of the world's largest wool mills, Armley Mills. As a leading textile manufacturer and retailer, Perry Uniform work closely with the local community to promote the development of practical skills.

Perry offer exciting apprenticeship programmes for candidates willing to embrace and learn the knowledge of industry experts. Working over a variety of specialist sectors ranging from school uniform to club blazers, there are many areas for exploration within the Perry & Perry Club brands.

In September 2015 Perry's were approached by exhibitors of the Yorkshire and Humber skills exhibition. Celia the stand coordinator asked the company to contribute to the development of their innovative stand, we were delighted to facilitate her request by lending Celia a tailored club blazer.

The Regional Skills Events are hugely interactive careers, jobs and skills events for young people. Since 2007 they’ve helped over 100,000 young people find out about careers, skills and learning options. It was a great pleasure to hear from Celia that the exhibition stand was a success.

"Thank you so much for the fantastic blazer you contributed to the show exhibition, I have attached photographs and I am proud to say that we won the best stand of the year award. The event was a great success with approx 6000 through the doors.  There was a keen interest in our stand and approx 190 students had a go on the industrial machines making phone cases."

As a successful textiles company we relish the opportunity to introduce young people to a career in textiles and manufacture. To be in a position to be able to contribute to the future of English manufacturing, is a very important aspiration of Perry Uniform.  With a shift in the recent economical climate "British manufacturing is one of the most exciting, innovative and rich sectors for young people to forge a career in".
